Dear Hyde Eyecare Patients,
In these uncertain times, we wanted to reach out to you personally about what we are doing here at Hyde Eyecare to support you and our employees. As the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to ensure your Health is our top priority as it has always been, the safety and security of our patients and employees remains our highest priority. We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures developed in consultation with global and local public health authorities (including the WHO and CDC) to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:
• Our team members are receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols.
• We have increased the frequency of cleaning & sterilizing our public areas (including exam rooms, optical gallery, lobbies, elevators, private offices, door handles, bathrooms, etc.) and have continued to use hospital-grade disinfectant.
• We have increased the deployment of antibacterial hand sanitizers and wipes. We remain committed to offering you the best eye care possible. We will be flexible if your appointment needs to be rescheduled and will always be here if an eye emergency arises.
At Hyde Eyecare, we believe it is in challenging times like these that the power of good “sight” is needed most of all. We remain committed to serving you and our community for many years to come.
President & CEO, Hyde Eyecare
At Hyde EyeCare, we believe your vision should last a lifetime. We work to maintain your eye health for your whole life, so we serve as partners to our Morristown patients using a program we call Vision Preservation. Through the Vision Preservation program, we provide education geared toward improving eye health and preventing eye disease. Choosing to be part of that plan can have a significant impact on your vision by teaching you how the eye works, so you understand why proper care is so critical.
It starts with our basic preventative eye care. This includes regular examinations by our eye physicians at Hyde Eye Care to see if you need corrective eye glasses. We also screen you for eye diseases that can affect your vision such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration. We are proud to be a leader in technology for the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases that lead to blindness. Through our Vision Preservation program, we strive to educate the community about seeing an eye doctor and taking care of your eyes.
Most people understand how critical it is to protect their skin from the damaging UV rays of the sun, but they fail to even notice the effect the sun has on their eyes. As part of our prevention plan, we teach you about protective eyewear and why picking out quality sunglasses matter. The right frames do more than accentuate your summer wardrobe; they protect your eyes from the irreversible damage that comes with sun exposure. Little accents to your eye glasses like photo sensitive treatments and transition lenses help keep your eyes safe and you stylish at the same time.
Part of our comprehensive prevention program includes nutrition counseling. There are specific antioxidants that slow down the progression of macular degeneration – one of the leading causes of blindness in this country. We offer vitamin supplements that can improve your eye health and prevent disease.
This treatment plan goes beyond just prescribing glasses or contact lenses. Our Hyde eye doctors sit with each patient and discuss nutrition requirements for good eye health and then make recommendations to enhance their vision through vitamin supplements and diet.
No two sets of eyes are exactly alike. That individualization is what makes vision care so critical. There isn’t a one-size-fit-all plan for eye care. We use the latest technology to help you maintain a lifetime of good eye health and the best vision possible. If you do need vision correction, our Hyde Eye CarePhysicians are there to provide all the essentials like:
• Eyeglass frames
• Digital prescription lenses
• Progressive no-line bifocals
• Photo sensitive/Transition lenses
• Contact lenses
We offer competitive pricing and top-of-the-line frame choices, as well.
